Katie has three decades of experience in healthcare and has worked with a variety of medical companies including device, diagnostic, software, wearables, and tech-enabled solutions. Katie founded and leads SPRIG Consulting, a boutique firm that provides strategic marketing, commercialization, and business development services to companies ranging from venture-backed start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Since its inception in 2008, SPRIG has partnered with 350 medical companies with over 50 clients achieving exits in value of $45B. At SPRIG, Katie works closely with clients on the entire spectrum of commercialization needs: from early-stage market development strategies to downstream launch execution and commercialization efforts.  Additionally, Katie co-founded and serves as Operating Partner for SPRIG Equity, a MedTech-focused venture and growth equity fund with over $50M in assets under management.

Prior to her work at SPRIG, Katie’s career included sales and marketing roles with Guidant Corporation (Acquired by ABT and BSX) and Kensey Nash Corporation (Acquired by Volcano Therapeutics). Katie holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School and a BA from the University of Vermont. For over 12 years, Katie has been a professor at NU’s Kellogg School of Management, where she teaches Medtech Entrepreneurship, a course focused on medical product commercialization and financing.
